Leyla Melek

Leyla graduated from the  Bosphorus University, Department of Translation. While studying there she started working for various magazines and newspapers published in both English and Turkish. After working in the Foreign News Service of the Sabah Newspaper group, she was part of the first team of Cosmopolitan magazine in Turkey. In 1994, she worked as the Editor-in-Chief of the group's news magazine, Aktüel. She served as the Editor-in-Chief of Cosmopolitan magazine between 1995 and 2008, and since 2000, he has also been the Publication Coordinator of magazines such as CosmoGirl, Esquire, Harper's Bazaar and House Beautiful, which are published under the American Hearst Magazines International publishing group.

 

After the birth of her son Efe in 2008, she transferred to the Ciner Group and served as the General Manager of the Ciner Magazine Group for one and a half years. When the Ciner Group decided to get out of magazine publishing, she decided to start her own business. She has been preparing various corporate publications since 2009.  Since then, among others, she has written for Harvey Nichols Turkey, Fly Cyprus Airlines in-flight magazine, Sunset Restaurant Sunsetter Magazine and Demsa Group's 'luxury lifestyle' magazine and Fashion &Travel Magazine .
